O Grêmio se reapresenta nesta quarta-feira (8) para dar início a preparação para a temporada 2025. Entre os jogadores que estarão presentes está o paraguaio Villasanti. Porém, sua permanência neste ano ainda não está assegurada.

Isso acontece porque o Palmeiras segue com o volante como segunda opção. O Verdão tem negociações com o Fulham, da Inglaterra, por Andreas Pereira. Os paulistas ofereceram o valor fixo de € 20 milhões (R$ 125,8 milhões na cotação atual) e aumentaram a quantia que pode ser paga por meio de bônus. O clube está otimista em relação ao negócio e acredita que pode convencer oS ingleses a liberá-lo no mercado da bola.

Caso o clube paulista não consiga contar com Pereira para a próxima temporada, Villasanti é o plano B. O Palmeiras chegou a fazer uma oferta inicial por Villasanti através do empresário, estimada em 8 milhões de euros, valor prontamente recusado pelo Imortal. O clube gaúcho exige pelo menos 15 milhões de dólares pelo capitão, que tem sido um dos pilares da equipe em 2024. O empresário de Villasanti, Renato Bittar, reconheceu as dificuldades na negociação.

Na sua apresentação, Quinteros falou sobre as possíveis saídas do paraguaio e de Cristaldo.

“Seria fantástico se ficarem. São dois dos melhores em suas posições que poderíamos encontrar no Brasil e fora. Eles podem dar ao time aquilo que queremos e não seria fácil substituir esses dois jogadores. Tenho falado com Villasanti, tratando de deixá-lo contente com a gente (risos). Ele é muito importante. Acho que neste ano ele pode fazer uma grande temporada, ainda melhor, para depois passar à Europa e não para outro time brasileiro”, disse o técnico.
