Prefeito de Porto Alegre propõe ao Grêmio solução para o Olímpico

Inativo desde o início de 2013, quando o Grêmio passou a mandar os seus jogos na Arena, no Humaitá, o Estádio Olímpico Monumental está completamente abandonado. Inicialmente envolvido na negociação com a OAS para a construção da nova casa do Tricolor, o estádio teve o seu destino travado diante dos muitos processos judiciais que a empreiteira baiana passou a enfrentar.

No início de 2010, quando começaram as obras da Arena, o plano era de que o Olímpico fosse implodido, dando lugar a um complexo de prédios que seriam construídos pela OAS, como contrapartida do negócio. Entretanto, nada foi feito até hoje, preocupando os moradores das redondezas da Azenha, que temem pela higiene e segurança do local.

Nesse sentido, segundo Sebastião Melo, atual prefeito de Porto Alegre, o poder público iniciou tratativas com o Grêmio para encontrar uma solução definitiva para o estádio, que foi oficialmente desocupado em 2014. 

“O assunto está judicializado, mas quem está pagando o pato é a cidade. E eu tenho conversado com o Grêmio, através do vice-prefeito, para encontrarmos a solução. Quem responde por aquele terreno, Grêmio ou a OAS? O nosso governo é de muito diálogo e temos que encontrar uma solução. Eles não podem criar um problema para a cidade. Se eles têm uma demanda que ainda vai demorar um tempo, precisam cuidar do espaço, limpar, estar bem cercado, cortar a grama e ter segurança”, afirmou o prefeito.

Estádio Olímpico: impasse envolve três partes

Além de Grêmio e OAS, há também uma terceira parte envolvida no imbróglio que se arrasta desde 2013: a Karagounis, empresa ligada à construtora baiana. Segundo informações do site GZH, a transferência do terreno onde fica o estádio só irá ocorrer definitivamente quando o projeto da Arena for totalmente concluído.

Enquanto isso não ocorre, o Olímpico acaba exposto a uma situação de degradação, atraindo muitas pessoas em vulnerabilidade social. Conforme Sebastião Melo, o governo não irá impor nada, afinal o local ainda pertence ao Grêmio, uma instituição privada. Por isso, a situação tem que ser resolvida pelo clube gaúcho o mais rápido possível.

Tricolor se manifesta

Por meio de uma nota, o Imortal assumiu a sua responsabilidade pela guarda patrimonial e limpeza da estrutura do terreno onde fica o Olímpico. Entretanto, o clube cobrou uma ação dos órgãos públicos em relação ao entorno do estádio, algo que foge ao alcance do Grêmio.

“Estamos sempre atentos a qualquer situação de depredação e invasão do espaço. Porém, a área de cobertura do estádio é extensa e não há como evitar ações que fogem do nosso controle. Há, no entanto, moradores em extrema vulnerabilidade social no entorno do estádio e cabe aos órgãos públicos competentes dar assistência necessária, evitando, assim, situações de degradação no Olímpico ou em qualquer outro espaço público ou privado da cidade”, manifestou o clube gaúcho.
