O Grêmio segue sua busca por um treinador para 2025, depois de desistir da contratação de Pedro Caixinha. O nome mais cotado neste momento é Gustavo Quinteros, que se tornou o novo “Plano A” do clube, segundo informações da imprensa nacional.
As conversas entre o Imortal e o técnico começaram recentemente, com Quinteros já tendo visto um projeto esportivo do clube e recebido garantias de estabilidade e de que o elenco será reforçado para a próxima temporada.

Mas afinal, quem é Gustavo Quinteros?
Gustavo Quinteros, natural de Santa Fé, Argentina, é o atual comandante do Vélez Sarsfield e possui uma trajetória sólida como treinador. Ex-zagueiro, Quinteros teve passagens marcantes por clubes da Bolívia, como The Strongest e San José, além de representar a Seleção Boliviana.
Após se aposentar dos gramados no final dos anos 1990, iniciou sua carreira como treinador em 2003, no San Lorenzo. Desde então, passou por diversos times na América do Sul e até no Oriente Médio, com destaque para Bolívar, Emelec, Al-Nassr, Al-Wasl e Colo-Colo, além de ter sido técnico da Seleção Equatoriana.
Atualmente no Vélez Sarsfield, Quinteros vem realizando um bom trabalho, disputando dois títulos na Argentina, com sua equipe na final da Copa Argentina e brigando pelo Campeonato Argentino. A situação de Quinteros deve ser definida nos próximos dias, e, com isso, o Grêmio deverá avançar nas tratativas para contar com o argentino na próxima temporada.
