Ex-centroavante do Juventude é o treinador particular de Matias Arezo
Matias Arezo desembarca nesta terça-feira (16) em Porto Alegre para ser o novo centroavante do Grêmio, trazendo consigo um diferencial: um treinador particular que conhece bem o futebol gaúcho. Ismael Espiga, 45 anos, que atuou pelo Juventude em 2010 e 2011, será o responsável por auxiliar no desenvolvimento do futebol do jovem atacante.
Espiga, que teve passagens por clubes como Rampla Juniors e Central Español, encerrou a carreira em 2015. Em 2017, junto com o preparador físico Andres Barrios, ele iniciou um projeto dedicado ao desenvolvimento das habilidades de atacantes. Esse trabalho é realizado durante as folgas ou férias dos atletas em seus clubes. No caso de Arezo, essa parceria começou quando ele ainda jogava no River Plate, do Uruguai.
Em uma entrevista concedida em maio deste ano ao jornal El Pais, Espiga explicou como funciona sua metodologia com Arezo.
“Uma das coisas que lhe disse no primeiro momento foi que tínhamos que mudar a força para a colocação. O Mati abusava de bater forte porque quando era pequeno chutava assim, e, se acertasse o gol, era gol. Mas no nível atual, é preciso direcionar o chute. Trabalhamos com três premissas: automatismo, aprimoramento técnico e confiança”, disse Espiga.
Espiga acredita que muitos clubes não dispõem de tempo suficiente para trabalhos individualizados e treinos específicos. Em junho, durante as férias no Granada, Arezo treinou no Uruguai com Espiga.
